Since January 2008 a former peanut brulerie located 20 avenue Marechal Foch in Nice became the lair of Chef Mickaël Gracieux.
Native of Saint-Amand-Montrond in the Cher, the career path of Mickaël Gracieux is one of the most prestigious: Oustau de Baumanière with Jean-Andre Charial, Robuchon, Plaza Athénée with Eric briffard and Alain Ducasse, Hotel Le Bristol, Louis XV with Alain Ducasse, La Pinède in St. Tropez with Arnaud Donckele, the Ministry of Defence...
After all these years under the aegis of the finest and distinguished French Chefs in the highest places of French gastronomy, Mickaël Gracieux decided to start his own restaurant and to give free rein to his creativity and his extensive experience in culinary art to offer a creative, innovative and tasty French cuisine from the best fresh produce.
It's in the heart of downtown Nice, in the shopping district of Lepante street, he opened his first restaurant accompanied by Elise Morselli-Lourtet.
With few means but much desire and creativity, their talent and their work will not have been long in being recognized and rewarded.
In June 2008 Mickaël Gracieux became the first winner of the « Rising Star Champagne Jacquart Trophy » in Gastronomy for the French Riviera (Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region).
In March 2009, for the hundredth edition of the prestigious Michelin Guide, The Restaurant L'Aromate was selected in the category « hope for a star ». And it is in 2010, after only two years of work that Mickaël and Elise's restaurant has been crowned with his first Michelin Star.
The Restaurant L'Aromate is primarily the story of two young persons passionate of gastronomy who concretized their dream so that the cooking is a feast and a delight of the senses.

L'Aromate restaurant is located in downtown Nice next to the shopping district of the Lepante street and 5 minutes away from the Tramway of the Jean Médecin avenue.

L'Aromate is opened from Tuesday to Saturday from 7:30 pm till 10:30 pm.
The restaurant can be privatized for your events, receptions and business lunches.
